We had problems with the upgrade and when try to rollback and start the database with 12.1 we had hit the ORA-29702
Web13 Aug 2003 · It's an Oracle bug. The problem is that if MAXLOGHISTORY is 65535 (default value of CREATE. DATABASE), then when log sequence number reaches 65535, LGWR dies. This problem was fixed in 8.0.6 and later databases. A proposed solution was to set the init.ora parameter. "control_file_record_keep_time =3D 0". and then restart.
